Jeremy Munday
Jeremy Munday is Professor of Translation Studies at the University of Leeds, UK. and is also a qualified and experienced translator. He studied a BA in Modern Languages at the University of Cambridge, an MA in Applied Linguistics at Liverpool and a PhD in Translation Studies from the University of Bradford. He has taught translation and translation theory for over twenty years, first at the Universities of Bradford and Surrey and, since 2006, at the Centre for Translation Studies at Leeds.The focus of his work is on uncovering the linguistic traces of translator and interpreter intervention in the text. His research interests include discourse, text analysis and stylistics in translation; the application to translation of systemic functional linguistics (especially evaluation and appraisal theory); ideology in the translation and interpreting of literary and political works and speeches, with special reference to Spain and Latin America; the analysis of literary translator drafts. He is author of Introducing Translation Studies (1st edition 2001, 4th edition 2016), Style and Ideology in Translation (2008), Evaluation in Translation (2012), and co-author, with Basil Hatim, of Translation: An Advanced Resource Book (2004). He is editor of Translation as Intervention (2007) and The Routledge Companion to Translation Studies (2009), and co-editor of Translation and Ideology (The Translator 13.2, 2007), Corpus-based Translation Studies (2011), Discourse Analysis in Translation Studies (Target 27.3, 2015) and Poetry Translation: Agents, Actors, Networks, Contexts (Translation and Literature 25.1, 2016). Previously Chair of Publications for IATIS, he is General Editor for the Bloomsbury Advances in Translation series.

Juliane House
Juliane House is Professor Emeritus of Applied Linguistics at Hamburg University, founding member of the German Science Foundation’s Research Centre on Multilingualism and Director of the PhD in Applied Linguistics at Hellenic American University in its Athens campus. Her research interests include contrastive pragmatics, discourse analysis, politeness, translation, English as a global lingua franca, and intercultural communication.She has published widely in all these areas. Behzad Barkat
Behzad Barekat is associate professor at University of Guilan, Iran. He received his Ph.D in Comparative Literature from the University of Sorbonne, France. Barekat has been a professional translator since 1986, and has translated more than 30 books and articles in various fields of humanities from English and French. He has also been a lecturer of literature, translation and linguistics; has published many essays, and administered several workshops in the three fields .

Masood Khoshsaligheh
Masood Khoshsaligheh is Associate Professor of Translation Studies and Head of the Department of English Language and Literature at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM), where he also serves as the program coordinator of MA and PhD in Translation Studies. He is also the director of the college of the Faculty of Letters and Humanities, FUM. He teaches graduate courses on research methodology, translator education and audiovisual translation and has supervised over forty MA theses and is currently supervising seven PhD candidates in Translation Studies.With a keen interest in interdisciplinary empirical studies, he has published extensively on Persian translation and translator studies. His work has appeared in distinguished journals such as The Translator, Language and Intercultural Communication, Perspectives: Studies in Translation Theory and Practice, Translation and Interpreting, Journal of Media Practice, Journal of Academic Ethics, Asia Pacific Translation and Intercultural Studies, among others.He is on the editorial board of a number of peer-reviewed journals including International Journal of Society, Culture and Language, SKASE Journal of Translation and Interpretation, and Iranian Journal of Language and Translation Studies. In 2015, he organized the 2nd Conference on Language Teaching, Literature and Translation Studies at FUM. He has delivered plenary and keynote speeches at conferences in Iran and talked at international events in Malaysia, Australia, Qatar and France. His academic qualifications include BA in English Language and Literature, MA in English Language Teaching, and PhD in Translation Studies. He has previously worked as a freelance and in-house translator, interpreter and proofreader, IELTS prep teacher, and language school supervisor. Saeed Ketabi
Saeed Ketabi got his B.A in English language in 1987 from the University of Isfahan. He got his M.A. in TEFL at Tarbiat Modarres University 1990, Tehran, Iran; his thesis was “A Comparative study on Effects of Using Top-level Structure in text on Reading Comprehension”. His PhD dissertation title was “the Acquisition of modality by advanced Persian learners of English”.He was the vice dean for Research and Graduate Affairs for the faculty of foreign languages at the University of Isfahan. He was the head of the department of English language and literature at the University of Isfahan. His other achievements include being the head of the Armenian and German language department of the faculty of foreign languages at the University of Isfahan.
Currently, he is the editor in chief of applied research on English language (www.uijs.ui.ac.ir/are) which is published by the University of Isfahan. He has published 30 books about translation, linguistics etc. He has published more than 143 articles about translation, linguistics and has more than 56 conference talking items.

Sayed Reza Beh-Afarin
Born in Tehran in 1968, Seyed Reza Beh-Afarin holds a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics. He is currently faculty member of English Translation Department at Islamic Azad University, Northern Tehran, where he lectures diverse subjects of English translation and advises M.A. and Ph.D. candidates. His research areas of interest include translation studies, translator/interpreter education, materials development, multilingualism, literary translation, and Diaspora studies, which he has passionately pursued over the past 15 years. In addition to academic exertion, Dr. Beh-Afarin is Certified Translator to the Judiciary, simultaneous and consecutive interpreter at the Center for Middle-East Strategic Studies, Iran’s State Department and has been head translator and interpreter to the Central Bank of Iran.

Shahram Modarres Khiabani
Dr Shahram Modarres Kheybani is the assistant professor of Department of Translation at Islamic Azad University of Karaj, Iran. He received his PhD in linguistics from Allameh Tabatabaei University, Tehran, Iran. His dissertation entitled “The study of lexical collocations in Persian language”. He has taught English since the beginning of bachelor course at schools and institutes of language during 1991-2001. He has been teaching courses in linguistics, especially semantics and morphology in different levels at some universities such as Science and Culture, Allah Tabatabai, Imam Ali (AS), Tarbiat Modares, Shahid Beheshti, and Islamic Azad University of Tehran North, Karaj, Science and Research, Qom, Central Tehran, South Tehran and Electronic branches since 2001. Ali Beikian
Ali Beikian is currently a PhD candidate in Translation Studies at University of Isfahan, Isfahan, Iran. His PhD dissertation is entitled “Comparative Evaluation of the Curricula of Iranian and International English Translation and Interpreting B.A., M.A., and PhD Programs: Stakeholders’ Views in the Spotlight”.Ever since he got his M.A. in Translation Studies from Allameh Tabatabaie University, Tehran, Iran, in 2005, he has been teaching translation and interpreting courses at Chabahar Maritime University, where he became a faculty member of the English Language Department in January, 2010. In the meantime, he has had a couple of publications, conference presentations, and lectures on translation and interpreting, in general, and translation and technology, in particular. Last but not least, he has been working as a freelance language services provider (LSP) since 2003, with clients from some 40 countries.He has already held 28 workshops on translation and technology, in general, and CAT tools, in particular, as well as translation of legal and business documents. Having mastered 15 popular file-based, server-based, and cloud-based CAT and translation project management tools, from SDL Trados, DejaVu and MemoQ to XTM, Wordbee and MateCat, he has written five papers on this topic and has been in charge of preparing “Translation and Technology” course description, a responsibility devolved to him by Professor Farahzad. Added to this are his endeavors in the field of corpus building. Mohhamad Golshan
Mohammad Golshan is an assistant professor of TEFL at Islamic Azad University. He is currently teaching M.A and Ph.D. courses on research methodology, curriculum, development and assessment and is cooperating with the Iran language institute as an observer. He is also the director of Nokhbeganefarda publications. His areas of interest include task-based language teaching and corrective feedback.He has already written and translated 60 English books which are mostly published by Jangal publications. The books cover a wide variety of subjects including general English, specialized English, and ELT. He has also published articles in international journals and held various workshops at different universities in Iran.
He was elected a top researcher at Islamic university in 2006. 2007, 2009, 20013, 2017. He was also elected as the top and prolific writer of Yazd province in 2016 and 2017.

Alireza Karbalaei
Dr. Alireza Karbalaei is assistant professor in TEFL and Head of the Department of English Language at Farhangian University in Tehran, now. He has been the Head of English Departmentin Kish and Qeshm International branch for four years, where he was the program coordinator of MA students. Currently, he teaches BA and MA courses on research methodology, academic writing, teaching skills, and translation courses and has supervised over 60 MA theses.As he has been the editor of 14 international journals, he was interested in translation and editing about 8 years ago. In this regard, he launched a translation and editing department in Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran, in order to enhance the quality of academic translation and edit the papers rejected by different journals. About 200 papers edited by this center were accepted in different well-known journals affiliated to Elsevier, Springer, Sage, and other publications. He has already held 14 workshops on academic translation and academic writing at Shahid Beheshti University, Iran. With a keen interest in empirical studies, he has published 58 papers in different international journals and five books in the field of ELT. Abbas Mehrpooya
Abbas Mehrpooya, now a faculty member of the Islamic Azad University, Hamedan Branch, Iran, has pursued his PhD education in Translation Studies. He is the writer and translator of several books and articles. As a composer of poetry, he has his first book of poems, self-translated into English, with illustrations and accompanying CD-ROM of Poet’s voice under publication. His ‘Flakes of Light’, a work of fiction, was published in 2009 in English and Persian.His forthcoming book of poetry in translation is An Anthology of Poems by Archetypes of Modern Persian Poetry. Mehrpooya’s interests also include literary criticism, poetry and fiction, and folklore. He has particular expertise in the translation and narration of movies, exemplary among which is ‘Ultim Ore di Bam’ by Italian Director Teodoro Mercury. He has been the recipient of Iran’s University Student’s Year Book Award in translation in 2001 and the highly commended Award of Iran’s Year Book in translation in 2007.

Mahmood Yenkimaleki
Dr. Mahmood Yenkimaleki is lecturer/researcher at VU University Amsterdam, The Netherlands, where he also did his post-doc on training the next generation of interpreters as well. His PhD at Leiden University, the Netherlands, was on interpreter education with an emphasis on the effect of prosody awareness training on overall interpreting performance, e.g. substantial reduction of errors in word and sentence stressing, and significantly less disfluencies.He has five books in the areas of second language learning and interpreter training. Mahmood’s recent book has been published by LOT publications in Utrecht, The Netherlands, on training the qualified future interpreters. He has major publications in A-rated Journals as well, e.g. Perspectives: studies in translatology (Routledge), FORUM: International journal of interpretation and translation (John Benjamins), Translation and Interpreting Studies (John Benjamins), Asia pacific translation and intercultural studies (Routledge), …. . Mehdi Salehi
Mehdi Salehi is a co-founder and the chairman of the board of directors in the Cultural-Educational Cooperative Association of Pars Professional Editors, a charter member in different cultural entrepreneurship accelerators such as Kashefan and Shafagh, and a member of the review committee for Persian orthography in the Academy of Persian Language and Literature, Iran.
His academic qualifications includes BA in Social Sciences, majoring inAnthropology from the University of Tehran and MA in Persian language and Literature from Shahed University. Highly interested in editing field, he holds some editing certificates and has been working as a proofreader, editor, chief editor, and editing project manager of different text genres in various prestigious Iranian publications for more than 15 years. Correspondingly, he launched the successful Virastaran Editing Center about 9 years ago with the cooperation of a colleague.Besides, he is an editing lecturer who has already carried out over 60 workshops on Persian editing, Persian orthography, and DTP tools.
